Hypersensitivity

A situation in which the body's ordinarily protective immune system causes harm to it.

There are four types of hypersensitivity such as:

                                                                            Type 1 

                                                                            Type 2

                                                                            Type 3

                                                                            Type 4 



Anaphylaxis

                        A severe allergic reaction to an antigen to which the body has developed a hypersensitivity.


Ionophores

A chemical capable of transporting certain ions across a cell's lipid membrane.
